All the glitz and glamour is back as the Milan Fashion Week returned this year to the Italian ramp for spring, 2009. Revealing the Roman view of fashion, it had everything from sophistication to style. Rebellious yet classy, the designers focused on outrageous sexiness as well as lavishly structured clothing line.
Let us put some insight to some of the key fashions trends brought in by the Milan Fashion Week: All that glitters…is certainly gold! Being the old symbol for luxury, a lot of gold as sequined mini dresses and glittery textured tops appeared in many collections on the Milan ramp. Hot outlooks came through outrageous shoulder cuts and balloon sleeves in blooming reds, terrific blacks and pure whites.
Oversized jewels, stones and studs, not only in gowns and clutches, in coats, trousers and glittery flares and fringes appeared in big brands like Ferretti, Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana. Gingham obtained checks, stripes, and plaids and other masculine prints provided a pleasant outlook to the delicate short dresses by Burberry and MaxMara. One-shoulder evening dresses and gowns stay as the top trends this year as well. One sleeve look with jumpsuits and mini dresses came new to those one shoulder concepts providing an awkward yet innovative approach to the old trend.
